My Project
At our school, the Freshmen class is in charge of the volleyball concession stands and the Sophomores are in charge of basketball. The money earned from these sports goes into their account and is used when they are Juniors to put on the Junior/Senior Prom! Not only is this helpful in raising money for their class (and keeping them from having to pay class dues), it also teaches them valuable skills such as: counting change, communication skills, professionalism, health/safety, cleanliness, food preparation, problem solving, time management, etc.
These kids need a warming display so they can use safely store prepared food in a way that is appealing to the customer and efficient for everyone.
If we can get a small food warmer, the kids will be able to prepare commonly sold items such as mozzarella sticks, corn dogs, pretzels, etc. before the 'halftime rush' and keep the line moving and customers happy.
This isn't something that will only last for one school year. It will continue to serve Freshmen and Sophomores as well as the entire community for many years to come.
