My Project

This "Food for Thought" fine motor themed project is on the menu and we can't wait to dig in. We will use the food themed games and activities to promote learning in a fun hands on way. Fine motor skills are the tiny movements we make with our hands, fingers, feet and toes. They allow us to do countless everyday tasks. We develop these skills from birth to adulthood.

For a child, fine motor skills are important for doing schoolwork, like drawing and writing plus so much more.

Several work-related tasks involve fine motor skills, too — like using construction tools or using a computer or being at a restaurant.

The games, the food theme printable pages and crafts from the TPT gift card will promote fine motor skills, visual perceptual skills, pre-writing skills, handwriting skills, writing prompts and scissor skills. We will learn about familiar and unfamiliar foods as well as different cultures we have within the classroom.
