My Project

My students live in high-poverty sections of the city and they attend an urban public school. They face many hardships outside of school that make it challenging for them to stay focused on the importance of education. However, they take great pride in their work and strive to be successful.

My students have enormous potential that they will reach with encouragement and motivation.

They continuously make me proud! School is where they feel safe and where they can formulate positive relationships that can help guide them toward success!

Providing my students with high-interest books is essential to promote reading.

The more you read, the more you know. I like to fill my library with the books they are looking for as this is the best motivator. Unfortunately, my school district lacks the resources needed to update books for our students and although I am always on the hunt for good book deals it can get expensive. The books I have selected are the current top picks of my students.
