This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The Kindergarten students at my Title 1 school are kind, innocent, and excited about education. I want to keep them excited and engaged throughout their learning career.

Our classroom is a place where we are excited about learning and motivated by classroom chants, funny faces, praise, and rewards.

I want to instill in my Kindergarteners a love for writing. My goal is to open the doors in their minds to new worlds where imagination and putting thoughts to paper is exhilarating. I need your help to do that.

I choose to teach my 5 and 6 year old students to be responsible for their own learning, and motivate them to love reading, writing, math, science, making friends, and attending school. They know how much I care for them, and they know how hard I work to get new things for our classroom. Finally, they know that our classroom is only as fun and successful as it is because of class volunteers and donors like you.

My Project

I work in a high poverty school where nutrition is greatly lacking due to parents being unable to afford healthy options or having the time to cook healthy options.

I need to provide these children with snacks and small meals that will nurture their bodies as efficiently as possible.

These children do not always have a parent who is at home and able to cook food, so I've chosen healthy protein bars, fruit snacks, beef jerky, soups, and more easily prepared items.

I hope to make their lives the tiniest bit healthier and happier with this project that will provide nutrition and food to children and families in need.
