My students need school uniforms and food to keep them fueled.

My Students

My students are English language learners who are recent immigrants to the United States. Many of my students are refugees and have never been to school, or have experienced interrupted schooling due to war. My students are very eager to learn everything they can to make up for their lost learning time.

If I can provide them the necessary materials to catch up to their peers, my students will shine brightly.

We need to show these children that we care and will do our best to help them in the classroom.

My Project

My students know I love them. They often don't want to leave the classroom because they don't know what awaits them outside the school doors.

The Beatles said "All You Need Is Love," but we know the kids need food and clothes as well.

Unfortunately, our students often come to school hungry and unkempt. Sometimes mom or dad didn't have enough money over the weekend to wash their clothes. Other times, mom or dad were at work. Sometimes, mom and dad were absent. These kids deserve a fair shot at learning, so these uniforms and snack bars will help them get going.
