Help me give my students folders and accessories to help improve home-school communication.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Prest's classroom raised $275

My Students
I teach in a multilingual kindergarten classroom. I have a mix of students from our school's neighborhood and students that are from other countries or bilingual. There are several different languages spoken by the students in my classroom; including but not limited to English, Spanish, Nepali, Arabic, and Swahili. My students are diverse in the languages they speak, their culture, and their academic abilities. A few students have attended PreK but most have never been in a school setting before. A few students don't even speak English when they first come to school.
I teach in a Title 1 school where all of my students qualify for free lunch.
Even though there are many challenges, they are happy to come to school and eager to learn. They are energetic, caring, and sometimes very funny kindergartners that deserve the very best I can offer them!
My Project
My students need folders to be used as their take home folders. These folders are used daily for students to take their work and important papers home for parent/guardian review. Having sturdy, durable folders is a must for our classroom to operate effectively.
Staying organized, with the folders and pencil pouches, allows the students to have homework supplies and flashcards handy at all times.
The labels will be used for each pocket and will read "stay at home" or "back to school". These folders help to keep my students organized for the entire year and with your contribution it saves the family of my students money on school supplies. This is a huge advantage for the parents of my students.
This summer I received 2 new computers in my classroom. Because of this, I added two headphones to this project. Several years ago, donors funded a project for these exact headphones, but now we are in need of 2 more.
