Gifted students are pulled out of the regular classroom for 2 hours of extra instruction. My Title 1 students often don't have extra supplies for the extra instruction.
Folders and notebooks are used through out the school year to organize our materials.
We study one advanced vocabulary word a week and also a quote that may relate to what we are studying. This semester has been all quotes about the Olympics. We will be finishing with a quote from Eunice Shriver, the founder of the Special Olympics and then the father of the modern Olympics, Charles Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin. My students are now excited about the summer olympics in Paris this year.
The crayons will just allow the students at my three schools to have crayons that will match their skin tones.
