My Students

I am a third grade teacher with a variety of students. I am always looking for ways to reach all of my students' learning needs.

My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds and represent various ethnicities, learning styles, and ability levels.

My students are hard workers, very busy, enjoy working together, and love using technology. Every day we are learning new ideas and applying our learning during hands-on activities. We love to work around the room during partner work and stations.

My students are problem solvers and are eager to try new things. They enjoy having a choice in their learning and are developing their independence every day.

My Project

Organization plays a very important role in student success. Classroom organization helps with student learning. These 4 pocket folders will be used daily by my students. These 4-pocket resource folders are just what my students need to organize their papers into separate pockets for language arts, science, social studies, and math. Students will keep their classwork in these folders when we are working on lengthy projects or longer writing compositions. Students may also need to be able to keep track of materials for several days or weeks at a time, so these folders become essential. We also need take-home folders. Take-home folders are a great way to keep our classwork papers organized.

We can help build students' organizational skills, creating a neat environment for learning.

I am also requesting Everyday Math Homelink consumable workbooks. These books will help the student have all their homework in one place. This will also allow me to save time and money on making individual copies. Students can take this workbook home so they are not bringing papers back and forth to class. This project will ensure all students are organized, independent and successful. Organization is ultimately a life skill, and these supplies will begin that habit!
