My Project
My school is a full-inclusion school, which means students with all disabilities are able to learn alongside their typical peers. While this is amazing, it also means that we often have students who are still working on developing early literacy and math skills, such as phonological awareness, letter recognition, counting and recognizing numbers. These skills need to be practiced and taught in small groups because we are still teaching grade level curriculum to the entire class.
As a result, we need fun and engaging ways to help students who are still working on these early skills, even as third graders, to practice these skills daily!
My students are the sweetest and kindest souls, and they are so positive and absolutely love learning. These folder activities will give students multiple opportunities to continue practicing their early skills independently so that they are able to continue to develop their confidence and love for school and learning.
