Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my elementary art classroom, I strive to create an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to express themselves creatively. Many of my students are easily distracted or overstimulated by the sounds of a busy classroom, which can make it difficult for them to focus on their artwork. I want to provide a class set of noise-canceling headphones so that students who need a quieter space to concentrate can access that support during art time. These headphones will give students the ability to manage their own sensory needs, reduce distractions, and stay engaged in the creative process. With this simple tool, I can better meet the diverse learning styles and emotional needs of all my young artists.
