My Students
My kindergarten students are curious, energetic 5 and 6 year olds. Their excitement to be attending elementary school for the first time is contagious. From their first to last day, they soak up so much learning that their academic and social growth is amazing to experience.
Our school is located in a small rural town with a close-knit community that supports our school's vision of "Creating a Community of Learners and Leaders".
Visitors to our school immediately feel the support that each member of our staff and community gives to our students.
My Project
Young children need a variety of "hands-on" materials to help them develop physically, emotionally, and academically. Toys like the Create-A-Path Magnet Center, "play dough" and the Sensory Fidgets Bundle, stimulate brain function as they help develop large, small, and fine motor skills, and dexterity.
In Kindergarten we have to consider the whole child in our approach to meet each child's individual needs.
Learning important basic concepts needed for success in Reading, Writing, and Math require concentration, focus, and calm which are also encouraged by motor activity.
Thank you in advance for supporting our classroom to meet our fine motor needs.
