This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love for my students to have access to headphones while using computer based programs. Headphones will help support student learning by allowing students to have less noise distractions from other students and increase focus for their own learning.
These headphones will be used for their assessment and testing requirements as well as their personalized learning goals.
Students will be using Penda for Science and iReady for Math. I am new to Penda, as this is my first year in 3rd grade. I really enjoy iReady! This program allows for individualized instruction based on the needs of each student. It also provides me valuable data to be used for student placement, instruction, and working with students with what specific concepts they need extra support with in small group. Because this program is individualized, each student works at a different level. These headphones can provide privacy as well as aiding in focus. I am departmentalized, so these headphones will support two groups of students. Approximately 44-48 students!
