it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with incredible middle school students in a Special Education Resource Learning Center in Compton, California. Many of my students have learning disabilities and sensory needs that affect their ability to focus and engage in class. Our classroom lighting can sometimes trigger discomfort or overstimulation, especially for students with sensory processing challenges or autism. The light filters I'm requesting will help create a calmer and more focused environment. Additionally, the basic calculators will allow my students to access math content more confidently and build independence. These tools will support learning and emotional regulation in a safe, welcoming space where every student can thrive.
