Focus, Concentration, & Fun in PreK!

Help me give my students a relaxing sensory experience to calm nerves and ease anxiety with cuddly puppies, flexible seating, & music!

My Project

Our students this year are all eager to learn, bright, adventurous, creative, and always full of wonderful stories! For this project I would like to ask for your support in providing our students materials to help them feel calm and comfortable in their first year of school.

The cuddly puppy lap weighted lap pad and cuddly puppy shoulder pad will improve student focus and concentration, and a little comfort during classroom activities.

This could also be utilized when they want to go to the calm center when dealing with big feelings. These materials will help provide a relaxing sensory experience to calm nerves and ease anxiety.

We would also like to provide our students with another option for seating with durable, lightweight chairs. These would be helpful for our classroom for students who are still learning to participate during circle time.

We also added a traditional lullaby CD with gentle, soothing music to provide more comfort during quiet time/nap time. Research had shown that soothing music such as lullabies encourage relaxation. The CD format helps us as we regularly use a CD player in the classroom.
