Help me give my students an FPV flying rotorcraft for their Flight Course preparation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Bryant's classroom raised $1,230

My Students
These students come from diverse backgrounds and have a strong desire to excel in Math and Science. We are an inquiry-based classroom with no desks (just work tables) and we are always building together. Students enjoy interactive experiences and discovering new ways to solve problems; we are a room full of young engineers.
Over the past two years, students have had to adapt to many virtual technologies during the pandemic and become advocates for the next generation of VR for gaming, business, and other industry applications.
My students are quickly becoming the industry experts when it comes to understanding and using VR interfaces. We want them to expand those understandings of the VR interface by integrating physics and science lessons through rotorcraft flight.
Last year our students built autonomous robots, Hot Air Balloons, used a micro wind tunnel to design efficient airfoils that could improve lift on an airplane, hand-built jet-propelled vehicles, studied Bernoulli's principles, Newton's three laws, and the Coanda effect, etc.
Students in my room will be future aerospace engineers, software programmers, computer scientists, and will laugh at the phrase "It's not rocket science!" - because in their case it IS Rocket Science. Or Fixed-wing aircraft science.
My Project
Because this Pandemic has limited so many students to learning at home, they have mastered virtual learning experiences and are adapting quickly to an interface that all tech and blue-chip companies will one day use as the normal channel for communication. A main interface that they will use in the metaverse one day is VR as many high tech companies further control the market.
Over the past two years, students have had to adapt to many virtual technologies and become advocates for the next generation of VR for gaming, business, and other industry applications.
My students are quickly becoming the industry experts when it comes to understanding and using VR interfaces. We want them to expand those understandings of the VR interface by integrating physics and science lessons through rotorcraft flight.
This particular rotorcraft does not rely on line of sight flight, but instead a flight view that puts students directly in the cockpit. They can imagine they're a fleet leader in a star wars movie or running an important military surveillance mission. These sorts of experiences will help them to become better users of VR and more experienced pilots.
