My Students

My classroom is very student-friendly, actively engaged, inviting and exciting when it comes to learning. I am striving for all of my students to be proficient or at least very close to proficient in all subject areas by the end of the year. Majority of my students are eager to learn and succeed.

I teach at a Title 1 school where majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch.

The parental support is way too low. Teachers are all most of the students have as a mean to encourage and support them academically. Many of the students academic performance is below the benchmark. Therefore, teachers have to work extra hard to motivate students to show gains by the end of the year. Teachers are always looking for creative activities and ideas to meet the needs of all the students. Our school does not have a lot of financial means to purchase everything teachers need for their classroom. I believe students deserve the best no matter where they live or go to school.

My Project

My students will use the writing center materials in small group to practice their creative writing. They will have a variety of organized materials to assist them with creative writing. The students will use the math centers during small group instructions and intervention time to practice skills that are taught and reinforced. My students will become student authors and illustrators which will lead some of them to want to spend more time writing. Students will learn number sense through numbers and operations, place values, time and measurement, fractions, geometry, etc. I believe every child can learn, but in their own unique way. Students are looking forward to using this tools to improve and make academic gains by the end of the school year.

I hope my project gets funded because I get excited when my students have fun learning.

These centers will change the lives of all students by providing them with the opportunity to be engage, evaluate, explore and collaborate with their peers. Please consider my students and completely fund this project. If you are not able to totally fund my project, I truly understand. I am asking that you give what you can. Students work as a team to learn, we can work as a team to fund this project. Thanks!
