My Project
My students would like to show their love for their school and art through several grade-level projects. Fourth and Fifth grades have many science standards to learn and fine-tune for end-of-year testing. They would like to put their learning into action. We first want to build and decorate homes for the many birds that inhabit our school grounds. They learn in science life cycles, and parts of the body. In art, they can decorate pre-built houses based on the lesson genre that week or make something completely their own.
We are working towards making our school look and feel like a community through cross-curricular service projects.
This project would combine social skills, science, and art to be successful. Students will work together using social skills needed for a lifetime to plan and execute building, decorating, and placing the houses.
