I need help covering a portion of the cost of transportation and food so I can attend the 4-day ISTE Conference in Chicago to learn new ways to use technology in the classroom.
I teach a fantastic group of third-grade students that leap with full force onto any project I suggest. I am amazed every day how hard they try, and how much heart and caring they put into their work and projects. Our classroom is filled with laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads, enough so that every student can work at the same time on research, work on their math skills, or practice writing skills using some form of technology.
I want to expand on using technology in our classroom by learning great ideas while I attend the annual International Society for Technology in Education Conference (ISTE) this June in Chicago.
My Project
I would like to attend the ISTE Conference & Expo June 2018, in Chicago. This professional development event will give me access to more than a thousand timely sessions and workshops, allow me to network with the brightest minds in ed tech, and provide access to an expo hall packed with experts and hands-on learning experiences.
I’ll also have the chance to hear from three thought-provoking keynote speakers and get inspired by the more than 15,000 passionate educators in attendance.
This project will cover a portion of the cost of travel expenses flying from Los Angeles to Chicago and food expenses during the conference.
Your help donating to this project means that I will have 4 days to become inspired by amazing new ideas about using technology in the classroom. I will share the information I learn at the conference with teachers at my school, and implement the ideas and apps in my classroom.
