My Project
Our students are naturally curious, hands-on learners who thrive when given opportunities to explore the world around them. To nurture their love for science and nature, we are requesting funding for a Butterflies in the Classroom Kit and a set of gardening tools. These resources will allow students to witness the life cycle of butterflies up close and take an active role in growing and caring for plants.
With the Butterflies in the Classroom Kit, students will raise butterflies from larvae, observing their transformation from caterpillars to chrysalises to beautiful butterflies ready for release.
This hands-on project will reinforce lessons in life science, environmental stewardship, and responsibility.
The gardening tools will allow students to dig, plant, and nurture their own garden, learning firsthand about plant life cycles, pollination, and sustainability. Gardening is a powerful way to teach patience, teamwork, and the importance of caring for the environment. These tools will empower students to create a space where butterflies and other pollinators can thrive.
Our students are bright, eager learners who don’t always have access to interactive, nature-based experiences. Many come from underserved backgrounds, and projects like these open doors to learning in ways that textbooks alone cannot. By funding this project, you will help create unforgettable learning moments that foster curiosity, scientific thinking, and a love for the natural world.
