My Project
I have the fortune of looping with my first and second graders. That means I have my students for two years. At the end of last year, I tried Fluency Fitness+ with my students and they LOVED it! They would beg and cheer for it. They are a busy bunch and learn best when they get to move.
I want to provide my second graders with the opportunity to not only be physically active today, but the opportunity to teach skills and basic well-being conducive to maintaining physical activity for a lifetime.
Fluency Fitness helps students get in movement while learning. It is a digital resource that provides educational brain breaks, whole group and individual games, multi-sensory phonics videos, and digital task cards. They will have access to over 350 videos within various subtopics and options of viewing slides with a 3 or 6 second pause. After a few slides of facts a fitness slide pops up with background music and an animated character modeling the exercises such as the floss, jumping jacks and windmills. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? I love that I can customize the games and tasks to fit the individual needs of my students. Thank you so much for considering supporting our project.
