My Project

Working in small groups during math and reading fluency activities gives students the support, practice, and confidence they need to grow as learners. Small groups allow teachers to target specific skills, offer immediate feedback, and adjust instruction to meet each student’s needs. My students will use the Science of Reading and Reader's Theater materials to practice reading smoothly. They will also use the Timed Math Drills and multiplication chart for solving problems quickly and explaining their thinking in a low-pressure setting. This collaboration builds communication skills and encourages peer support, helping students learn from one another. With more chances to participate, students stay engaged, strengthen foundational skills, and develop the confidence needed to tackle more challenging reading and math tasks.
