Help me give my students fluency strategies in number sense using ETA Hand2mind Daily Number Fluency!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Rogers's classroom raised $294

My Students
Students walk into my classroom full of energy and ready to learn. Many of my students have challenges that stand in the way, making learning harder for them. I teach special education students from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. My school is in an urban area with about 70% receiving free/reduced-price lunch. Since I teach special education, I need hands-on, engaging ways to teach my students the curriculum. My students come into my classroom for help, sometimes feeling hopeful but other times feeling like failures. Each student has different academic needs, as well as different emotional needs.
My Project
All of the students who come to my classroom for math services have a weakness in the areas of math fluency skills and math number sense skills. Without these two skills, it becomes hard to complete math as the math becomes more complicated in the upper grades.
The ELA Hand2mind kits will help my students build math fluency and number sense.
I will be able to use Hand2mind to reinforce math in my younger students. At the same time, I will be able to use Hand2mind with my older students to fill in the fluency and number sense areas they are struggling with.
