This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working as a teacher at a low-income high school comes with many challenges when it comes to funding. The 9th grade students at my school are a group of smart, kind, and caring individuals who have worked tirelessly all year to learn and engage with new material. In about 2 weeks, our students will be taking their state assessment that determines their proficiency in a number of topics. In order to support, motivate, and fuel our most vulnerable population, I am asking for donations to help create goodie bags for all 600 9th graders. These snacks will provide sustenance to all students, but especially those whose first meal of the day comes from us. Any and all support is greatly appreciated!
