This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager learners when given the chance to work with their hands and bring their creativity to life. To that end, I want to give them a new opportunity to explore design, problem-solving, and self-expression through floral craft projects.

With your support, I’m hoping to stock my classroom with artificial flowers, grass, floral foam, and assorted craft fillers so students can create beautiful projects such as wreaths, centerpieces, mini gardens, and more.

These materials aren’t just pretty decorations; they are tools that allow students to express themselves, connect with seasonal and cultural themes, and experience the joy of making something with their own hands.

Many of my students don’t have easy access to craft supplies at home, but they light up when given the tools to create. These projects will offer a calming, constructive outlet that supports social-emotional learning, builds fine motor skills, and allows for both individual expression and collaborative teamwork. Whether we're making winter wreaths to decorate the school or spring centerpieces as a community project, these activities encourage pride, focus, and joy.
