My Students

My classroom is a special place. Our typical student is not struggling financially. In fact, my students put way too much pressure on themselves to do well and "ace" tests. I want to create an environment for these students to flourish and feel empowered to meet the standards pushed on them everyday.

My students are writers, readers, scientists, athletes, friends, and problem solvers.

They want to measure up to the expectations set on them each day - they want to succeed. It's my job to set the stage for this success in every way possible.

My Project

My students need to feel comfortable in multiple places around the classroom. These cushions and area rug will make the work area on our classroom floor more comfortable for small group collaboration.

My goal is to create an environment that allows students to move around the classroom and find the place that they work best.

Sitting at desks all day is not the best way to learn! Students need to move, wiggle, and sit in the most comfortable way possible.

We are moving away from desks and toward a "cozier" classroom environment to give every student a chance to succeed!
