Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help us bring 21st-century learning to life with iPads and a calming, creative cloud-themed space! My preschoolers are curious, creative, and full of wonder- they see the world with fresh eyes and boundless enthusiasm. Every day, they amaze me with their eagerness to explore, problem-solve, and collaborate. Whether they’re building towers taller than themselves, telling imaginative stories, or discovering letters in their names, their joy for learning is contagious. Many of my students are English Language Learners or come from under-resourced backgrounds, yet they approach challenges with resilience and excitement. I want to give them the tools and environment they deserve to foster that love of learning even further!
Why iPads?
Technology is a gateway to 21st-century skills, but many of my students lack access at home. With this resource, my students will benefit:
Literacy & Math: Apps like ABCmouse and Endless Alphabet will make letter sounds, rhyming, and counting interactive and fun.
Creativity: They’ll record their own stories (boosting language skills) and take photos of cloud shapes (linking to science!).
Individualized Learning: With headphones, children can work at their own pace while I provide one-on-one support.
Why cloud-themed decor? A calm, inviting space fosters focus and imagination- and ties into our science explorations!
Reading Nook: Fluffy cloud pillows and a sky-blue rug will create a cozy corner for storytime, where kids can "float" into books.
Science Connections: We’ll use cloud decals to track weather patterns and inspire storytelling (“What do you see in that cloud?”).
Social-Emotional Skills: The soothing colors and textures will help regulate emotions during transitions.
