it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how curious, hardworking, and full of personality my students are. They bring joy into the classroom every day, and their excitement for learning is contagious—especially when it comes to reading! When we first built our classroom library, many of them begged to take books home because they loved them so much. It broke my heart to say no, so now I’m hoping to say yes with your help. By gifting them their own Diary of a Wimpy Kid book, we’re not only supporting literacy, we’re giving them something they truly want—something they’ll treasure and read again and again. And after a long year of growing and learning, a pool float will be a fun and joyful way to kick off summer break. These gifts show our students that their effort matters and that reading can be something to look forward to—even outside the classroom.
