My Students
Intelligent, creative, independent, studious, and a little wacky. These are words I would use to describe our 7th & 8th-grade students at our middle school.
Our students walk into the classroom every single day with a desire and passion to investigate, collaborate, and discover all they can before the final bell rings.
They are an inspiring bunch who are not afraid to ask questions and take risks. Mature beyond their years, they recognize the importance of every educational opportunity set before them and always strive to do their best at every turn. It's for these reasons that they deserve every chance to succeed.
My Project
Teaching from home has presented a number of unique challenges. Not the least among these has been the difficulty in teaching personalized lessons to my students. When in the classroom, I have access to a number of effective teaching tools and technology from a whiteboard to a computer to a projector. At home, I have struggled without the use of these important tools.
For this project, I am asking for a Wacom drawing tablet.
This tablet will enable me to create more engaging and effective video lessons for my students. I'll be able to write and draw in realtime, giving my online teaching back that personal touch face to face learning has.
