My Students
"Flipping our classrooms into active learning spaces really is important and having these convenient spaces where people feel comfortable." -Megan Smith
Our Georgia school is a Title I high-poverty school, with over 70% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch.
Our classroom is filled with twenty-two brilliant third graders who love learning! The lessons in our classroom are designed to meet the needs and interests of all learners.
My Project
Where do you like to read or play a game? My students are often times more comfortable lounging on a rug or a bean bag! My classroom is tiled, without carpets. The two rugs we have are small and will only fit about two or three students. My students need a big rug and bean bag chairs! I would love to have a large carpeted area designated for reading, playing games, or for small group instruction.
We have wonderful things going on in my classroom.
I do not want my students to not be confined to their desks. It does not interrupt instruction to have a child in an alternative seating area. In my classroom, we embrace it! I would love to make this available to my students.
