I am the special education teacher in a low income area, in Brooklyn, NY. We are a Title I school. Many students spend more time here in school than they do at home.
The students at PS 315 are bright, responsible, energetic and curious to explore and learn new things.
Despite challenges, they are all excited to be in school everyday and eager to learn. School is a safe place for them to learn valuable skills for them to prosper in the world. Majority of the students stay everyday for after school/extra curricular activities. It is great that the school offers so many different programs for the students to get involved in. Finally, PS 315 is starting a cheerleading team. I cannot explain how excited the students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are to begin their cheer journey! We have almost 40 students who signed up for the team! The materials will ensure that the students have a safe place to practice and learn new skills.
