I have the pleasure of teaching Print Production to all grade levels at at a public high school in Newark, NJ. No matter what obstacles my students face on a daily basis, from being teenage parents, to raising siblings, or even being homeless, they alway come to class and are excited and eager to learn. However they are deprived of high tech technology resources.
During these troubled times, being able to clearly see the lessons using Webex and Google Classroom as well as collaborate using the Samsung Flip board which is mobile and can be used throughout the building.
My Project
The high school where I teach is located in the West Ward. We are a Title I school where 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches. board will increase engagement of my students virtually and once we are able to return to in-person instruction.
While teaching virtually, I can teach lessons using this board and my students will be able to clearly see the lesson using Webex and Google Classroom.
When we are able to return to the classroom, my students will be able to work collaboratively together since 4 students can write simultaneously and they can utilize this board to share presentations with their classmates remotely from their seats.
