My Students
Technology is limited in our school and many students do not have access to it outside of school. By providing Flip cameras in school, students will have the chance to capture their learning while collaborating with their peers.
Our school is in a rural New Hampshire community.
Technology is limited in the school and many students do not have access to it outside of school. My students are a curious and creative bunch! They love to try new things and are enthusiastic about learning. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources for our students to use a variety of technology tools.
My Project
My students need 4 Flip video cameras for 21st-century learning and authentic assessments. Students will have the opportunity to use technology and be part of a 21st-century classroom! They will collaborate with peers, create projects that will engage and inspire, and evaluate their own learning. The best learning tool is to teach others. During math, students will be able to practice and create "How to" videos to "teach" other students how to do various math skills. They will also be able to evaluate their own learning and see growth through out the school year in a video portfolio. These are only some of the plans in store for these cameras. Students will record and assess their reading skills, video tape oral story telling, prepare presentations, and record science experiments.
Creating and synthesizing information is higher and complex thinking.
Flip cameras will give students the opportunity to make meaning of what they learn and transfer their knowledge in new and exciting ways. By helping with our Flip Camera project, you will be empowering the future generation!
