This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is a Skills for Living and Learning setting and my students are eager and able to learn with some direction, accommodations, and team work. They are truly special and exited to learn every day. Because if their disabilities they need to have lots of visuals around the classroom including our daily schedule . They also like the flexible sitting but we have so few ways for them to have a voice of where and on what to sit. During our silent or circle reading the enjoy being able to sit close and around our classroom library. Our school has two classroom with a total of 18 students all of them with unique learning abilities.
My Project
My project is to have the best flexible sitting for my students with disabilities.
This will give my students the ability to choose where they are more comfortable sitting so that they can have a more enjoyable learning experience.
My students are always ready to learn. Because we are a Life Skills classroom we also have to laminate many things. We have visual signs around the classroom that need to laminated for durability. We also need to laminate worksheets, posters, room signs, and visual schedule among many other things. If we have some of our worksheets laminated the students will able to use dry erase markers and this will save time and paper.
