This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Fifth grade students love to move, are excited about learning, and work hard every day. Help give my students more seating options to advance their abilities to learn in their own way.

Our school does not have a lot of extra funds to purchase any furniture for our classrooms.

As a teacher, I know it is important to create a learning environment to meet the needs of all my students. I know that an environment where students feel comfortable to choose different seating options will help them focus better during lessons and also promote collaboration and creativity within the classroom as well.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the seating choices that work best for them. Students are more invested in their learning, produce more work, and are overall more excited about school when they are able to make their own choices.

The products I have selected will help to give my students a variety of choices from getting their wiggles out on the balance balls and wobble stools, to being able to stand when they need to stretch their legs.

I know they will also be eager to read in the new bean bag chairs in our classroom library!
