Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an enthusiastic class of learners with a passion for reading and a love for collaborative learning. They are full of questions and absolutely love participating in class discussions.
Although they are enrolled in a Title I school and more than half are English Language Learners coming from foreign countries, they are resilient in their effort to overcome obstacles that stand in their way.
It's as if they are aware of their potential and fully understand their responsibility to fulfill it.
My Project
Students work optimally in an environment where they are comfortable. Spending extended periods of time in chairs has not always proven to be conducive to learning. Allowing students to make choices that best meet their learning needs will help them become more independent thinkers and learners. Providing them with a space to move around would help them focus throughout the day. Wobble seats and seat cushions would be a great addition to our desks and tables, allowing students to work more comfortably and concentrate better. I believe that flexible seating will be an exciting alternative to the chairs that we currently have.
