My Students

My classroom is full of young students who are embarking on one of the most important journeys of their lives. Starting school and becoming a kindergartener is a big deal! My students are excited about completing their first year of school, learning new things, making friends and participating in fun memorable experiences. The students that I serve come from a low income and high poverty rural area in the greater area of Atlanta, Ga. All of my students receive free lunch and breakfast at school. Most of my students have other siblings and come from a single parent home.

My students deserve an awesome end to the best year of the beginning of their educational career.

They may be faced with many challenges in and out of the classroom, but I want to show them they are the best and that they deserve the best.

My Project

I am asking for four wobble chairs to use in my kindergarten classroom. I want to offer a variety of different types of seating for my students. I have purchased some seating already on my own, using my personal money. However, there are not enough options for my students to participate successfully during flexible seating.

Flexible seating will create a more collaborative environment and empower my students to think about how they work and learn their best.

Some students need to break away from the traditional classroom setup of regular desks. Acquiring these four wobble chairs will improve my students' learning and decrease behavioral issues. Overall, flexible seating is fun!
