My Project
Providing flexible seating in the learning environment benefits students by promoting increased engagement, improved focus, physical well-being and social-emotional learning. My goal is to provide a culturally responsive, inclusive learning enviorment that supports all learning styles. My students are students with disabilities and will benefit from flexible seating.
Affording students this option gives students agency to choose a comfortable and functional spot that best suits his/her individual needs and learning style.
It also empowers them with a sense of agency over their education.
Providing my students with National Geographic Nonfiction Readers will help get my students excited about reading! The readers will expose students to more complex vocabulary and sentence structure from level to level. The series will support growth in students' reading skills.
