My Students
My students are eager, kind, and compassionate. They realize that everything in life is earned, not given, so they work tirelessly to earn everything they have. They take pride in their accomplishments and constantly seek out ways to help others. They hold each other accountable for respectful behavior. My students are some of the finest young people you could ever hope to meet.
My students are hungry for the arts, particularly theatre, which has helped them become confident, empathetic, and healthy risk-takers.
My Project
We are currently in rehearsals for "Legally Blonde: The Musical." This show is very complicated technically, transitioning seamlessly between seventeen different locations. The most efficient way to make these transitions is to utilize "neutral" furniture pieces that can serve many different purposes.
These tables will not only serve to create several different locations within the musical, but when the play is over, they will be great flexible work surfaces to have in my classroom.
Students will have more options for working in small groups at the round table, while the desk will provide an excellent work surface for larger projects.
