Flexible Work Options

Help me give my students with disabilities some flexible work options. The wobble stools will help my wiggly kids stay in their seats. The floor seat/lap tray combos will give more freedom in location and positioning while working.

My Project

I work with students with significant disabilities and the traditional desk and chair options don't always work well for them. More work space options make for more positioning options and better focus. Brett focus equals better academic success. The wobble stools will be great for my kiddos that can't sit still. They'll have the ability to move around without having to get up and wander. The floor seat/lap tray combos will give them more freedom in where they are sitting around the room, or even outside on days with good weather, and the position they want to work in. It's so hard to get good alternatives to the traditional hard plastic chairs that we adults hate. It's silly to expect kids that already have a hard time learning to do so while uncomfortable. Providing options allows kids to feel comfortable, even with various physical disabilities, which allows them to be more successful in learning. It's been proven that allowing students with disabilities more choice in their days teaches better self-advocacy. These flexibility options will greatly improve success for many of these students.
