My Students

Hi! I am a special education teacher. I work with fourth-grade students that require individualized learning styles. The district I work in has many transient families meaning for some students, academics are not the first priority, as shelter and food are a daily concern. I work with some students that are on the spectrum and others with specific learning disabilities. Most are behind grade level. My job is to provide them the support, strategies, and differentiated instruction that they need to succeed.

My Project

Teacher Pay Teachers is a valuable resource for classroom teachers. It allows teachers to professionally collaborate with educators from all around the country. As a teacher, it is my duty to be an active participant in a professional learning community. As a member of this community, I am able to benefit from the expertise of others, while offering others my own unique strengths as an educator.

Teachers Pay Teachers takes professional collaboration to a whole new level.

Now more than ever, educators need to pull from the strengths of other educators. Teaching in the midst of a pandemic has caused educators to have to learn a whole new way of teaching. It has given "On the job training" new meaning.

By funding my project, I will be able to provide the type of materials and support that my students need to succeed in such unprecedented times. Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all my students, as well as offer my students the type of instruction that remote learning requires.
