Flexible Storage for Organization in the Classroom!
My students need a place to store all their learning materials and some new seating options as we change our classroom to a more flexible seating arrangement.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school in the South Bronx where all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. The students here come from a low socio-economic group and often don't have many new and interesting learning materials at home. School is the place where they are exposed to many different things.
My students are very motivated to come to school and learn.
They love learning new things and are always ask great questions. The students get very excited when we are learning about new topics and even more so when they are using new materials!
I would love to be able to supply the students with new, exciting materials to help spark their interest in learning even more. I am hoping to be able to change the environment in my classroom to make it an even more inviting and comfortable place for students to take risks and learn. Thank you so much in advance for all of your help!
My Project
In an effort to create a more engaging and comfortable learning environment, we are getting rid of our desks! As the students are so young, they find it much more comfortable to be working in places around the classroom, sometimes laying down and sometimes sitting on pillows, cushions, or stools. They love to be able to move around and have freedom when they are working. Since we are getting rid of the desks, the students will need a place to store their materials. The Flex-Space Mobile Storage Bin Center and Flex-Space Storage Bins will give each student a place to store their own materials.
The Flex-Space Mobile Storage Bin Center and the Flex-Space Storage Bins will give each student a place to keep all their personal materials organized.
The students will have easy access to their bin and will be able to learn and practice organizational skills. When the students are ready to work, they will know where they can go to find anything they need. The materials will stay neat and organized!!
