My Students
My third grade students are incredibly sweet individuals who are all truly motivated to learn and explore the world around them. I currently have 24 students, and the majority of these children are emergent bilinguals developing English as a second language.
I want to provide them with the best classroom resources available.
They work so hard every single day, and a comfortable environment is critical for learning. With a brand new "modernized" classroom next year, there are some resources we desperately need to update our room!
My Project
My students have just begun to use flexible seating in the classroom, largely through the use of lap desks and sitting on the floor.
Some of my students need a proper seat to sit up in while writing, to ensure they are comfortable and that all students can participate in flexible seating.
Many of my students need access to a floor cushion that provides a comfortable back to support them as they write, draw, and calculate in our third grade class.
It would mean the world to my third grade "banana slugs" if you supported our love for flexible seating!
