This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students work on projects together that require all kinds of different grouping options.
Our students will use these floor pads and lap desks to engage in small group book discussions in spaces beyond just sitting at desks.
Getting to sit together in a corner of the hall or the classroom to find that just right place to gather can make a huge difference for reluctant and avid readers alike. By offering a few different options for sitting alone or with classmates, many students find they are able to concentrate better than when they are expected to simply sit at a desk.
