Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are driven and outgoing. They have unique and strong personalities that make them great leaders and change makers. Last year, I noticed that the community I served has many students that deal with attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders. I want classroom furniture that will assist them in harnessing their positive attributes in productive ways that will support their learning.

This flexible seating furniture would help me provide an equitable learning space for all my students so that they all may engage equally in the learning taking place.

Last year, I had 5 students that preferred standing while working. The standing desks would provide that options for my future students. The balance chairs would alleviate stimming needs of those students who still prefer being seated. The fidget bands would provide a Tier 1 support for all of my students to keep them engaged while they are expected to remain seated. Thank you for your time and support.
