it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For students to reach their full potential, flexible seating is a must! Giving options to students for how they sit gives students agency and the ability to take charge of their learning. In my Resource English Class, many of my students yearn for movement out of their plastic chairs. This new seating arrangement would give students access to sit in a spot that is both comforting and comfortable. Students can easily complete classwork in these chairs and they can probably even focus more - no one likes to be uncomfortable while they learn! These new chairs are just what our classroom needs.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
