This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are rock stars! They love to learn and they love to move. Alternative seating will allow my students to move around the room to do their work in comfort. They work so hard and enjoy sitting on the floor, standing up, or just moving around in their seat. COVID-19 negatively impacted students' social and emotional learning along with their academic learning.

Flexible seating allows for our class to take charge of their learning and build community in our classroom.

It allows my students to collaborate, have better communication while being comfortable. Many students have ADHD or are on an IEP or 504 plan. Flexible seating helps fulfill their need for sensory input and to be successful in a class by allowing them to move and learn at the same time.
