Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because they are all identified as ML (multilingual lingual) students which means they are learning English since their first language is not English. Some languages in my school is Spanish, Patois and Haitian Creole. All of my students come from a low-income intercity area.
My Project
Having wobbly stools is an option for my students so that they all can have a choice that will allow them to be successful in the classroom. Wobbly stools will provide my active students the opportunity to move while staying seated and safe at their desk. The stools will also be able to provide those students with breaks. I can use the stools also for small group time when I need to pull students over for small group to scaffold the instructions further. The stools can also be used as a reward for students when they are listening and following directions and not being disruptive in the classroom.
