I work in a very diverse school that services students who have a variety of needs in the suburbs of Harrisburg. Our district is very large and it can be challenging to make sure all of the students needs are met. I work with regular education and special education students who have a variety of academic, behavioral, and social needs.
Along with having high needs behaviorally and academically, my students come from very diverse backgrounds which makes the day very fun and interesting.
It can be very challenging but it is very rewarding and keeps me on my toes!
My Project
These items will help my student transition back into the classroom after the summer or working from home. I want to make sure my students feel safe and comfortable in the school setting after a very long year.
Flexible seating such as these bean bags, are important for my students because it provides them with the opportunity for choice.
This year is going to continue to be different than in years past so I want to make my classroom as inviting in possible for my students. Also we continue to need to social distance so this will provide some different options for the kids.
