School now looks very different compared to what we are used to seeing. We face new challenges to educate students. Students and families are doing their best, and educators also continue to do their best to meet the needs of our students.
The students I work with make me want to come to work each day.
They remind me why I became an educator and continue to inspire me each day. They remind me that working with them is helping the future become a better place.
My Project
This past year has been a difficult one for students, teachers, and families. Many students were not physically in a school building for some or all of the last school year. Coming back to the classroom is a big transition for many of them. I hope to help make that transition a little easier for them with flexible seating.
Flexible seating provides students the opportunity to learn in a comfortable manner.
Having these materials could help students who have certain sensory issues. They say kids have the wiggles. Providing them with flexible seating options will help them to wiggle in their seat, while allowing them to focus as they move.
