I work in a very diverse school that services students who have a variety of needs in the suburbs of Harrisburg. Our district is very large and it can be challenging to make sure all of the students needs are met. I work with regular education and special education students who have a variety of academic, behavioral, and social needs.
Along with having high needs behaviorally and academically, my students come from very diverse backgrounds which makes the day very fun and interesting.
It can be very challenging but it is very rewarding and keeps me on my toes!
My Project
These materials will allow my students to sit in different places within the classroom and to help with social distancing. I will be able to use the camcorder to assist me in teaching virtual lessons for my students who are in the virtual setting.
My goal is to encourage my students who have diverse learning needs to feel successful in my classroom.
I want them to be able to move around and sit where they feel comfortable. The kick bands will provide the opportunity for those that fidget to be able to do so in a less distracting way for their peers.
